The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, empathy, and the ability to project a positive and friendly image to patients and service users.
General Duties of the Receptionist include:
- Meeting and greeting patients, and staff from other organisations in a polite and professional manner
- Ensuring telephone calls are managed appropriately and taking accurate messages
- Proactively dealing with patients at the front desk with any queries relating to appointments, prescription queries and requests for medical records, providing patients with information relating to services provided at the surgery
- Registering new patients
- Care navigation- ensuring patients get to see the appropriate clinician and given correct guidance.
